Hook: 5.00 mm

sl st: Slip stich

sc:  single crochet

hdc: half double crochet

dc: double crochet

join: join to the first stich in round. First stichof the new round  also in first stich of last round.

Hat:

1. Magic Ring, chain 2, 10 hdc in the ring, join to the first stitch.
2. Chain 2, 2 hdc in each Stich, join (20)
3. Chain 2, *1 hdc, 2hdc* around, join (30)
4. Chain 2, *1 hdc, 1 hdc, 2 hdc* around, join (40)
5. Chain 2, *1 hdc, 1 hdc, 1 hdc, 2 hdc* around, join (50)
6. Chain 2, *1 hdc, 1 hdc, 1 hdc, 1 hdc, 2 hdc* around, join (60)
7. - 12. Chain 2, 60 hdc, join.

Change color.

13. - 18. Chain 2, 60 hdc, join. Don't fasten off!

Earflaps:

1. Chain 2, 11 hdc, turn.
2. Chain 2, 2hdc tog, hdc in next 7, 2 hdc tog, turn.
3. Chain 2, 9 hdc, turn.
4. Chain 2, 2 hdc tog, hdc in next 5, 2 hdc tog, turn.
5. Chain 2, hdc next 7, turn.
6. Chain 2, 2 hdc tog, hdc in next 3, 2 hdc tog, turn.
7. Chain 2, 5 hdc, turn.
8. Chain 2, 2 hdc tog, 1 hdc, 2 hdc tog, turn.
7. Chain 2, 3 hdc tog, fasten off.

Leave 16 stiches in the back and make second earflap.

Owl tip/ear ( make two):

1. Magic Ring, 4 hdc in the ring.
2. 2 hdc in each stich (8)
3. 8 hdc
4. *1 hdc, 2 hdc* around (12)
5. 12 hdc
6. *1 hdc, 1 hdc, 2 hdc* around, fasten off (16).

Eyes:

1. Magic ring, chain 2, 8 sc, join.
2. Chain 1, 2 sc in each stich, join (16)
3. Chain 1, *1 sc, 2 sc* around, join (24)
4. Chain 1, * 1 SC, 1 sc, 2 sc* around, join (32)
5. Chain 1, *1 sc, 1 sc, 1 sc, 2 sc* around, join (40)
6. Chain 1, 40 sl  Fasten oft. Leave long tail. Sew eyes on. Embroider eyelashes.


Nose:

1. Chain 7, dc in 4th chain, hdc, sc, sl st.
2. Sl st around nose. Fasten off. Sew it on.
